Just a reminder that postage stamp prices are going up on Monday May 12, 2008 to 42 cents. This is a one cent increase for first class postage.
A new law will allow rate increases to be made more easily, as long as the post office doesn’t exceed the rate of inflation. Rates will be adjusted annually, each May.
However, patrons can purchase the Forever Stamp at the current rate at which stamps are selling for, and use them even after rates increase. According to the post office, 64 million Forever stamps are being sold per day.
