You can add the Timber Rattlesnake or Canebrake ( http://www.snakesandfrogs.com/scra/snakes/images/canebrake201r.jpg ) to your list of local venomous snakes.

Incidentally, there are no chameleons here - that appears to be an Anole of some sort.

Good article, though. Leave them all alone, I say. Like the 'possums and vultures, they actually make this a nicer place to live.

Realtors sell real estate. Appraisers appraise real estate. If a realtor wants to appraise, then go through the process of getting an appraisal license.

Great question, this happens to me every now and then. In Charleston SC, we have a central call center that sets all the showing appointments. It is a great system. They will make you aware that another appointment has been set for the same time as your showing appointment. There are a couple of things I might do.
A - I always try to touch base with the other showing agent and get a feel for their time frame. If they are inside the home we might start checking out the outside or backyard. Most showings do not really take that long. I might use the time to talk about homes we just toured or the neighborhood etc.... Sometimes a little competition can be a good thing, create some urgency.
B – If there is another home on my clients list that is close by we just go to that one and double back.
